The GASFI Book Donor Program encourages individuals and families to donate pre-loved books so that more children can have access to reading materials and learning opportunities. By giving books a second life, donors help support literacy while making room for new stories and discoveries at home. Donations of both pre-loved and brand-new books are welcome.
Orange Bookshelf is GASFI’s community library initiative that creates accessible reading spaces for children and families. Through specially designed and easily deployable bookshelf units, the program brings books to schools, partner communities, and shared public spaces where children can gather and families can borrow books to read together at home.
GASFI’s Scholarship Program supports deserving students in pursuing higher education and developing their potential to contribute positively to their communities and the nation. In partnership with Ateneo de Manila University, the program provides educational opportunities for children of seafarers, while also extending support to college students from GASFI’s partner communities.
The Citrus Cup is a fundraising golf tournament that brings together partners, supporters, and advocates in support of GASFI’s educational and community initiatives. Through sportsmanship and shared purpose, the event helps generate resources that support the Foundation’s programs and scholarships.
The GASFI Volunteer Summit gathers volunteers, partners, and young leaders for learning, collaboration, and community-building. The program creates opportunities for volunteers to deepen their understanding of advocacy work, strengthen connections, and continue serving communities with purpose and compassion.
The Seafarer Family International Congress (SFIC) is a platform that highlights the importance of supporting the well-being, resilience, and family life of seafarers and their loved ones. Bringing together advocates, professionals, organizations, and maritime families, the Congress creates opportunities for dialogue, learning, and collaboration centered on the unique realities and challenges faced by seafarer families around the world.
Originally launched as Tumblers for Taal in response to the Taal Volcano eruption, the program gathered thousands of donated tumblers and reusable water containers for affected families. It has since expanded into Tumblers for Tanan, a broader community-driven initiative that collects tumblers, water bottles, jugs, and reusable containers for communities affected by disasters and flooding across the Philippines.
